Some weeks ago you probably read on this blog that Apple had just released the long anticipated IOS 9. Since the release a lot of Apple fans have been running here and there just to get an upgrade but before you make the move to upgrade to IOS 9 it's advisable to check if your device is compatible. This is why we have made this list of compatible devices. If you are ready there you go!
iPhone
iPhone 6 Plus
iPhone 6
iPhone 5S
iPhone 5C
iPhone 5
iPhone 4S
iPod touch
5th generation iPod touch
iPad
iPad Air 2
iPad Air
4th generation iPad
3rd generation iPad
iPad 2
iPad mini 3
iPad mini 2
iPad mini
If you don't see your device on this list, then it can't run iOS 9. That may be disappointing, but don't despair: Apple will continue to update iOS 8 for a while longer, so even though you won't get the benefit of all the latest and greatest features, you'll still get bug fixes and other improvements.
If your device isn't on this list, it's probably still compatible with iOS 8 and iOS 7.
Also, if your device is so old that it's not supported here, you may want to think about upgrading to something new. You're probably eligible for a discounted upgrade by now (most users who have had their device for more than 2 years are), so shop around and you might be able to get a great deal and some slick new hardware (but always remember to check when the next model is coming out so that you don't buy just before something new is released).
