How To Check if Your PC Is Compatible with Windows 10

Windows 10 is finally here which means you’ll finally be able to say goodbye to Windows 7 and the much-reviled Windows 8. But before you get too excited about Microsoft’s shiny new operating system, you’ll have to make sure it will actually work with your computer.

To its credit, Microsoft has designed Windows 10 to run on virtually any PC that can run Windows 7 and 8. But if you aren’t 100 percent sure that your computer is up to the task, you can quickly these quick steps to double-check.

Windows 10 upgrade check

If you’re using Windows 7 or Windows 8, you’ve probably noticed that a small Windows flag has taken up residence in the lower left corner of your screen. That’s Microsoft’s Windows 10 upgrade tool.

That tool comes with the most recent version of Windows 7 and Windows 8, so if you aren’t seeing it, you’ll have to download and install the latest Windows updates.

Once you’ve got the tool, here’s how to use it:

1. Left-click the Windows icon to open the upgrade tool.

2. Click the options button (three fat lines) in the upper right corner of the upgrade window.

3. In the “Getting the upgrade” section, click Check your PC.

4. Windows will then tell you whether or not your PC meets the requirements to run Windows 10. And that’s that.

Manually checking your PC

1. Navigate to the Microsoft’s Windows 10 specifications webpage to see the operating system’s requirements.

2. If you have Windows 8 or higher, go to the Start screen and type PC Info.

3. Select the PC info option and you’ll see a list including your computer’s processor and the amount of RAM it has.

4. Click Disk space on the left side of the screen to see how much free storage space your computer has available.

Still using Windows 7 or XP? No worries. You can check your PC’s specs by navigating to the Control Panel from the Start menu and clicking System.

Assuming your machine’s specs match Microsoft’s for Windows 10, you should be good to go when it comes time to upgrade.

So have you upgraded? What's your experience?

10 Things to Customize On Windows 10 Start Page

We recently posted that Windows 10 is now available in about 190 countries. This post assumes that you have downloaded the update by now. So I am guessing you love the start menu on Windows 10. Well the news is that their are little customizations you can do to the start menu.

Here’s the complete list of things you can do to the right side of the Start menu — and the left side.

Right Side

Expand it: Drag the top or right edge, using the mouse or trackpad. It snaps bigger or smaller. (It doesn’t work with a finger on a touchscreen.)

Make it fill the entire screen: Right-click anywhere on the desktop. From the shortcut menu, choose Personalize. On the Settings screen, click Start, then turn on “Use Start full screen.”
In this mode, the left column of the Start menu is hidden. The live tiles area fills your entire desktop (which is handy for touchscreens).

Move a tile: With the Start menu open, drag a tile to a new spot.

Resize a tile: Right-click the tile. From the shortcut menu, choose Resize. You always have a choice of Small and Medium; some apps offer Wide or Large options, too.

Add new tiles: Right-click any folder, disk, or app. From the shortcut menu, choose “Pin to Start.”
(Or open the “All apps” list, and right-click an app’s name there.)
Its tile now appears at the bottom of the right side of your Start menu.

Make a tile stop blinking: If you’d rather silence the animation of a “live tile,” right-click it. From the shortcut menu, choose “Turn live tile off.”

Remove a tile: Open the Start menu. Right-click the tile you want to eliminate. From the shortcut menu, choose “Unpin from Start.” (You’re not actually discarding that item — you’re just getting its tile off the Start menu.)

Eliminate all tiles: Right-click each tile; choose “Unpin from Start.” Repeat until you’ve eliminated all the tiles. Now only the left-hand column remains, just as it was in Windows 7.

Change the color: Right-click anywhere on the desktop. From the shortcut menu, choose Personalize. In Settings, click Colors. You can change both the tile colors (“Accent color”) and the background of the Start menu and taskbar (“Show color on Start, taskbar, and action center”).

Left Side

Add new items: You can’t.

Remove items: You can remove listings in the “Most used” section — handy if you’re embarrassed about something that shows up there. To do that, right-click its name. From the shortcut menu, choose “Remove from this list.”

6 Interesting Features on Microsoft New Browser - Microsoft Edge

I don't know about you but Microsoft Internet Explorer has always been a NO NO in my choice of browsers. Of course I have my reasons for this. Microsoft Internet Explorer is the oldest browser on the market, with a lineage dating back to 1995. And in that 20-year-old browser there’s a lot of 20-year-old code, supporting a lot of standards that are no longer in use. At the same time, new technologies and standards evolved for browsers, and Internet Explorer has proved to be a laggard.

So it was high time for a clean-sheet redesign — a whole new browser from the bottom up. And with Windows 10, we get it, in the form of Microsoft Edge. (Yes, Microsoft wants us to keep that “Microsoft” in there, just as Google does with “Google Chrome.”) Here’s what we think you’ll find most exciting in Microsoft’s brand new browser.

1. No Old Codes

First, here’s what’s not in Microsoft Edge: a slew of old technologies that are no longer common on the Web. They include:

  • ActiveX: HTML 5 replaces ActiveX controls. However, Microsoft Edge will still support Adobe Flash — which may or may not be good news.
  • Browser Helper Objects (BHOs): HTML and JavaScript replace BHOs, which date back to the COM object days of the 1990s.
  • VBScript: JavaScript replaces old Visual Basic code.
  • Vector Markup Language: Microsoft’s old XML language for 2D graphics has been replaced by Scalable Vector Graphics.

What’s all that mean to you? Faster load times (since the browser isn’t uselessly checking for instances of standards that aren’t there anymore). If for some reason you do need to load a page that uses any of these old technologies, you can still use IE; it will still be there on your Windows 10 system.

2. New rendering engine

Microsoft Edge will come with a new rendering engine (Microsoft EdgeHTML) to replace the Trident engine that powered Internet Explorer for decades. The result should be that webpages appear on the screen a lot faster.

3. Better security

Microsoft Edge does a bunch of little, behind-the-scenes things to make browsing the Web safer. For example, it renders each individual page inside a “sandbox” — so if there happens to be malicious software on a page, it won’t be able to break out of that page’s browser process to do anything like access your hard drive.

Microsoft Edge also implements some new Internet security standards, including HTTP Strict Transport Security (to make Web connections more secure) and HTML 5 Content Security Policy (to protect against cross-site scripting attacks).

4. Bing and Cortana

Not surprisingly, Microsoft Edge is tightly integrated with Microsoft’s Bing search service and with Cortana, Windows 10’s new virtual assistant. That combination should make finding the information you need a lot faster and easier.

So, just as the URL bar in Google’s Chrome browser quickly connects you to Google’s search tools, so is Microsoft Edge optimized for finding online stuff with Bing. It’ll also improve search results by inferring what you may want or need based on previous searches and on your browsing history.

And thanks to Cortana’s support for natural-language queries, you’ll be able to type questions into Microsoft Edge’s address bar and get answers immediately, without having to perform a full Web search.

5. Easier extensions

Internet Explorer supported browser extensions, but Microsoft Edge improves that support. That’s because the new browser’s extensions can be built on the same JavaScript and HTML code that developers already use for extensions that work with Google Chrome and Firefox. Microsoft claims that extensions for those other browsers will be convertible to Microsoft Edge with only a few tweaks. That should mean more/better extensions and add-ons for you.

The only bad news: Microsoft Edge won’t have this revamped extension support when Windows 10 initially launches. It will come via an update at a later point.

6. Annotations

Everybody shares links, but Microsoft Edge adds the ability to mark up those shared webpages with the electronic equivalent of sticky notes and highlights.

Tap the Make a Web Note button on the Microsoft Edge toolbar, and you can leave notes on a page for others. The Save button will allow you to save the note to Microsoft OneNote, your bookmarks, or your reading list; you can also use the Share button to share your marked-up note.

How Your Android Smartphone Can Be Hacked With A Text

Today I've got something that will be kind of scary to all android users including myself. You know Android is the most popular mobile operating system on Earth: About 80 percent of smartphones run on it. And, according to mobile security experts at the firm Zimperium, there's a gaping hole in the software — one that would let hackers break into someone's phone and take over, just by knowing the phone's number. Scary huh?

So How Is This Possible?

In this attack, the target would not need to goof up — open an attachment or download a file that's corrupt. The malicious code would take over instantly, the moment you receive a text message.

"This happens even before the sound that you've received a message has even occurred," says Joshua Drake, security researcher with Zimperium and co-author of Android Hacker's Handbook. "That's what makes it so dangerous. [It] could be absolutely silent. You may not even see anything."

Here's how the attack would work: The bad guy creates a short video, hides the malware inside it and texts it to your number. As soon as it's received by the phone, Drake says, "it does its initial processing, which triggers the vulnerability."

The messaging app Hangouts instantly processes videos, to keep them ready in the phone's gallery. That way the user doesn't have to waste time looking. But, Drake says, this setup invites the malware right in.

If you're using the phone's default messaging app, he explains, it's "a tiny bit less dangerous." You would have to view the text message before it processes the attachment. But, to be clear, "it does not require in either case for the targeted user to have to play back the media at all," Drake says.

Once the attackers get in, Drake says, they'd be able do anything — copy data, delete it, take over your microphone and camera to monitor your every word and move. "It's really up to their imagination what they do once they get in," he says.

Features of Apple's New iOS 9 That Should Make You Upgrade

One cool thing one must admire in all Apple products is their continuous interest in keeping everything up to date so as to meet the daily needs of fans. iOS 9 is Apple's newest operating system for iOS devices like the iPhone and the iPad, introduced at the Worldwide Developers Conference on June 8. iOS 9 builds on the content introduced with iOS 7 and iOS 8, bringing subtle design changes, refined features, improved functionality, and performance enhancements.

iOS 9's biggest focus is on intelligence and proactivity, allowing iOS devices to learn user habits and act on that information, opening up apps before we need them, making recommendations on places we might like, and guiding us through our daily lives to make sure we're where we need to be at the right time.

Siri is at the heart of the changes, and the personal assistant is now able to create contextual reminders and search through photos and videos in new ways. Swiping left from the home screen also brings up a new screen that houses "Siri Suggestions," putting favorite contacts and apps right at your fingertips, along with nearby restaurant and location information and important news.

Deeper search capabilities can bring up results like sports scores, videos, and content from third-party apps, and you can even do simple conversions and calculations using the search tools on your iPhone or iPad.

Many of the built-in apps have been improved. Notes includes new checklists and sketching features, Maps now offers transit directions, Mail allows for file attachments, and there's a new "News" app that learns your interests and delivers relevant content you might like to read. Apple Pay is being improved with the addition of store credit cards and loyalty cards, leading "Passbook" to be renamed to "Wallet" in iOS 9.

The iPad's gotten some major feature additions in iOS 9, like split-screen multitasking that lets two apps be used at once and a picture-in-picture function that lets you watch a video while doing something else on the tablet. The keyboard on the iPad has deeper functionality with the addition of a new toolbar, and on both the iPhone and the iPad, there's a new two-finger swipe gesture that makes it easier to select content, cut, paste, and move the cursor on the screen.

Other changes include a new system wide San Francisco font, wireless CarPlay support, an optional iCloud Drive app, built-in two factor authentication and optional longer passwords for better security.

Along with these features, iOS 9 features significant under-the-hood performance improvements. Battery optimizations provide an additional hour of battery use under typical conditions, and a new Low Power Mode further extends battery life up to three hours.

With app thinning and size improvements, many app install sizes are smaller and Apple's own iOS updates will take up much less space, so iPhone and iPad owners with only 16GB of space will be able to install iOS 9. iOS 9 will also run on all devices capable of running iOS 8, including the iPhone 4s and the iPad 2.

So you can see why you should not miss out on the upgrade. Well that depends on if you are a tech freak like me!

Different Versions Of Windows 10 You Should Know

Windows 10 is out on July 29th and the good here news is that Windows 10 is actually going to be free for Windows 7 and 8 users for a a year. That sounds cool huh? There are six (yes, SIX) different versions of Windows 10 that will be available. So much for Microsoft simplifying Windows!

Six versions of Windows 10 sounds pretty confusing but you won’t have to worry about the business versions of the operating system (your IT department will worry about that). To help you decide which version of Windows 10 is for you, here are all the different versions and how they’re different as announced by Microsoft.

Windows 10 Home
For most people, Windows 10 Home is the version to get. This version will include all the new features of Windows 10 like Cortana, Microsoft Edge, Continuum tablet mode, facial recognition, and the ability to run “universal apps” that you download from the Windows Store.

If you’ve been using Windows 8, expect a similar experience but with more polish and upgraded features. If you’re jumping from Windows 7, you’re in for quite a shock. Microsoft reworked the interface to be more intuitive for desktop users, creating a hybrid of the traditional Windows 7 Start Menu and the Windows 8 app launcher.

Users with 2-in-1 machines (laptops that can turn into tablets) can also use Windows 10 Home. Windows 10 will automatically switch from desktop to tablet mode depending on how you’re using your device.

Gamers are also going to want to upgrade to Windows 10 Home as it integrates with the Xbox One, allowing players to access Xbox One games from their Windows 10 laptop or desktop.

Windows 10 Pro
Windows 10 Pro is aimed at small businesses who want employees to bring their own device. Pro users will get all Windows 10 Home features of but also get powerful tools to help manage sensitive data and a group of devices. Windows 10 Pro gives small businesses access to Windows Update for Business, which means all the devices for your business will be automatically updated with the latest security patches.

Windows 10 Mobile (RIP Windows Phone)

Windows Phone is dead and will be rebranded as Windows 10 Mobile. The operating system will look and feel the same but with a lot of under-the-hood changes. All Windows 10 Mobile devices will come with a free version of Microsoft Office designed for touch.

One of the biggest announcements is Windows 10 Mobile will make it easy for developers to port Android and iOS apps to Windows 10 Mobile. If Microsoft can convince developers to port their apps, the company will fix the lack of apps that’s been plaguing its mobile operating system. However, this is a double edge sword as developers will be less likely to develop apps designed specifically for Windows 10 Mobile, leading to a subpar experience.

Editor’s note: The Windows 10 versions below will not be free upgrades.

Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise
This mobile version of Windows 10 will be for large companies who want to buy bulk licensing for its employees. This version will feature all the security and IT features large companies expect from a mobile operating system.

Windows 10 Enterprise
While Windows 10 Pro is more for small businesses, Windows 10 Enterprise is for medium to large sized organizations. Companies will be able to manage security, app deployment, and updates.

Windows 10 Education
No, this isn't going to be a discounted version of Windows 10 for students and staff. Windows 10 Education will be for schools to deploy on their computers, featuring all the same abilities as Windows 10 Pro but with volume licensing.

Not as confusing as it looks

Yes there are six version of Windows 10 but most users will end up with Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Mobile. The main differentiation between the versions are for businesses managing a ton of devices.

Windows 10 Home will support desktop, tablets, and convertible devices, which is a good thing. Microsoft imagines Windows 10 will be the last numbered version of the operating system, turning it into a service rather than something you have to buy.

So are you taking advantage of any of these? Let's here you!

Microsoft Fixes Windows 10 Crash Bug Before Launch Date

How annoying it would have been for Microsoft to release Windows 10 only for fans to notice the crash errors on the operating system. That’s why we always advice people not to quickly download any new windows’ OS as most of the time they still have bugs that could crash or leave a system hanging, though Microsoft was quick to get rid of the Windows 10 bug just in time doesn’t mean it is all over.

The problem was discovered in an update that was released on Saturday where a bug was found that caused Windows’ control panel to crash if you tried to uninstall an application. The update known as KB3074681 was fixed before the official launching on Wednesday.

Microsoft made sure the problem got fixed on Monday by releasing another update to fix the bug, according to a tweet from the engineering general manager for Microsoft’s operating systems group.

Microsoft is trying as much as possible to contain an embarrassment before it so much ‘glorified’ Windows 10 is been released. Even though the new operating system is still a work in progress microsoft will first push Windows 10 to members of the Windows Insider Program, who have been downloading and testing each new build and offering their feedback to the company.

After Microsoft deals with any newly discovered bugs, the rollout will then proceed to Windows 7 and 8.1 users who have reserved the free upgrade. This cautious move gives the company time to resolve any technical issues that arise as the Windows 10 rollout progresses. Any ways and more bugs are likely to still pop up before the D-Day.

But Microsoft has set up Windows 10 so that updates do get installed automatically.

You can also get any new Windows updates yourself rather than waiting for them to be installed. To do so, click the Start button and then click on Settings. From the Settings screen, select the category for Update & Security. From the Update & Security screen, click the setting for Windows Update if it’s not automatically selected. Click the button to check for updates. Windows then proceeds to download and install any available updates.

6 Key Things To Consider When Buying A Smartphone

Using a smartphone is cool but it's more fun if you find a smartphone that suits your kind of person. Kind of person? Yes! Some smartphone users are game freaks, others a video freaks, others are photo freaks, others are chat freaks and so on. In finding a nice smartphone you really need to know what rocks your world the most.

In today's post we are talking about what things you should put into consideration when buying a smartphone.

1. SCREEN SIZE:
In the old days of flip phones, having a big phone was not necessary – period. What is more, people mostly used their phones for talking and texting. Those cheesy 2D graphics were not pleasant to look at either. As a result, a larger screen seemed more burdensome than useful. But, things began to change as smartphones entered the scene. People literally marveled when the first waves of 4.0 and 4.3 inch were introduced in late 2009 and early 2010. From then on, it became clear that a whimsy 3.5 inch screen or less just doesn’t cut it anymore. What is the right size? This will certainly depend on what you want.

2. SCREEN RESOLUTION:
Screen resolution is basically the amount of pixels in the screen. If you move very close to a TV or a computer monitor, you would notice miniature individual squares, so to speak. Those “squares” are individual pixels. The more pixels a screen has, the clearer the display will be. If the screen has enough pixels, the human eye cannot see them—which is where the term “retina display” comes from. Therefore, a high resolution display enables you to see more on the screen with much more clarity and detail. When buying a phone, make sure the display has a resolution of 1280 by 720 or higher.

READ: 8 Best Smartphone in the World Today

3. THE CAMERA:
One cool feature you will certainly appreciate on a smartphone is the ability to take clear pictures. But what happens when the camera of your sweet phone is not clear enough to capture the moments? A turn off right? That's why you need to take CAMERA into consideration.

4. BATTERY LIFE:
You can have the fastest automobile in the world. If it’s out of gas, it can’t go anywhere—period! Likewise, poor battery truly defeats the purpose of having a flagship smartphone. Ideally, a phone should be able to last you a day of moderate use. When buying a smartphone, make sure it has at least a 2000 mAh battery and 15 hours of talk time. Smartphones with such specs should last close or more than a full day of use.

5. RAM AND PROCESSING POWER:
Similarly, smartphone enthusiasts are mesmerized by the remarkable array of phones with good processing power and memory. Each year, manufacturers stuff more and more memory and processing cores into their phones. Is it really necessary to have all of that power?—No. For me, I wouldn't go for anything below gigabytes but that's me!

6. THE STORAGE:
As users neglect MP3 players, point-and-shoot cameras and portable video cameras, storage space is quickly becoming an imperative feature. What is more, the price changes significantly between different levels of storage. So you need to go for something that tallies with your budget.

3 Reasons You Must Not Give Your ATM Card to Anybody

Before now it was not a big deal to give your ATM card to Anybody or throw it around in the sitting provided you alone know the PIN. But with the emergence and spread of e-Commerce and other online transactions keeping your debit card carelessly is now a risk you shouldn't dare to TAKE. Even without revealing your PIN somebody can use your card to pay his/her bills. So how is this possible?

First, on some e-Commerce websites (I don't want to call names) someone can use your card to make payments. This is because these websites only require your card number (the numbers on the front of your card), your CCV (the 3 digits at the back of your card), the card expiry date, etc. All these details are obtainable from your card and no PIN is required.

Secondly, we recently discussed How to Recharge Your Phone Via SMS With GT Bank. If you carefully look at that post you will notice that the only thing required to purchase airtime from Gt BANK via SMS is just the last 4 digits on your card. That means I can copy the number on your card and recharge my phone with any amount at anytime while you pay for being careless.

Thirdly, using GTB Mastercard money can also be transferred from one account to another via SMS just like the way you buy airtime via SMS (we will discuss the steps in subsequent posts).

So is your card safe? If you have been careless before now please repent!

How to Recharge Your Phone Via SMS With GT Bank

Have you ever been in a situation where you needed to make an urgent call but you have no airtime and there is no place to get some? I have been in such situation before and I can tell it's not a funny experience.

Thanks to GT Bank you can now easily recharge your phone via SMS using the GTB Mastercard.

How It Works

1. Pick your phone and dial *737*AMOUNT*NUMBER# (Eg, *737*200*0809430000#) then press the SEND or CALL button.
2. You will get a notification to select the network of the line you are recharging. Do so.
3. Next you will be asked to enter the last 4 digits on your card number (card numbers are just in front of the card).
4. If all goes well your phone or the phone number you entered will be recharged with the amount you entered in step 1 and this amount will also be deducted from your bank account.

5 Tips to Reduce Mobile Data Consumption On Smartphones

Yоu will сеrtаinlу аgrее with mе thаt if уоu are nоt uѕing аn аndrоid ѕmаrtрhоnе (or any smartphone at аll) then уоu аrе рrоbаblу not еnjоуing lifе tо the fullеѕt. However, one mаjоr сhаllеngе thаt comes with uѕing smartphones iѕ hоw tо mаnаgе dаtа соnѕumрtiоn еѕресiаllу in соuntriеѕ likе Nigеriа where mоbilе nеtwоrk ореrаtоrѕ are in fоr a big rip оff. Luсkilу еnоugh уоu саn ѕtill  rеduсе data соnѕumрtiоn by following thе following еаѕу ѕtерѕ.

1. USE OPERA MINI BROWSER
Grаntеd, the ореrа mini brоwѕеrѕ соmеѕ with limitеd fеаturеѕ. Whеn оn opera mini уоu mау nоt bе аblе tо fullу maximize the functionality оf mоѕt аdvаnсеd websites but with a rеduсtiоn of in data соnѕumрtiоn with about 90% I think it wоrth the раin оr what dо уоu ѕау?

2. DITCH THE FACEBOOK APP
Fоr android uѕеrѕ, Facebook hаѕ bесоmе one оf thе most uѕеd apps, leading tо lоѕѕ of dаtа аnd even drаining оf battery. Tо ѕаvе your data, rерlасе it with аn аltеrnаtivе арр ѕuсh as Tinfoil fоr Facebook whiсh is simply a web арр thаt diѕрlауѕ the Facebook website. Evеn thе Fасеbооk Litе whiсh wе are mаdе tо bеliеvе rеduсеѕ dаtа соnѕumрtiоn by 50% is nоt rесоmmеndеd bесаuѕе it ѕtill wipes hundreds оf data monthly.

3. RESTRICT BACKGROUND DATA
Surеlу, if уоu tеll уоur apps оr your dеviсе itѕеlf tо restrict bасkgrоund dаtа, you’ll hаvе dоnе a grеаt favor fоr уоurѕеlf. Fеаturеѕ such аѕ еmаil syncing, weather widgеtѕ, fееdѕ uрdаting еtс. аrе examples of background data thаt you should diѕаblе because thеу uѕе your dаtа еvеn if you аrе nоt actually uѕing them.

In light tо thiѕ, you саn аlѕо аdjuѕt some settings оn your ѕmаrtрhоnе to rеѕtriсt bасkgrоund dаtа in Settings > Dаtа uѕаgе > Restrict Background Data. If уоu wаnt to аdjuѕt the ѕеttingѕ fоr a раrtiсulаr арр, gо tо Sеttingѕ > Aррѕ. Note that thiѕ dереndѕ оn the раrtiсulаr vеrѕiоn of аndrоid уоu are uѕing. Tо change уоur ѕуnс settings fоr Google ѕеrviсеѕ, gо to Sеttingѕ > Aссоuntѕ > Gооglе > select the ассоunt. Whеn this is dоnе, аll you ѕhоuld do is tо simply uncheck the ѕеrviсеѕ уоu don't wаnt syncing automatically.

4. DISABLE AUTO-UPDATING APPS
Gооglе рlау apps uрdаting is уеt another factor that drains уоur MB. If you ѕеt the рlау ѕtоrе tо аutоmаtiсаllу uрdаtе apps, your internet subscription data will bе wiреd out withоut уоu еvеn nоtiсing it.

Hоw thеn dо уоu diѕаblе аutо-uрdаtе apps? Tо dо thiѕ, ѕimрlу go to the Plау Stоrе аnd hаvе thе lеft-hаnd nаvigаtiоn drаwеr swiped оut. Open thе ѕеttingѕ аnd thеrе iѕ Auto-Update Aррѕ аt thе tор, thеn tар it. Enѕurе that it iѕ either ѕеt to ''Dо Nоt Autо-Uрdаtе Apps'' or “оnlу оvеr Wi-Fi.” Fоr individuаl apps ѕеttingѕ, gо to My Aррѕ, choose thе app you wаnt tо diѕаblе and thеn tар thе оvеrflоw menu to check оr un-check Auto-Update.

5. SAVE RATHER THAN STREAM
If уоu аrе аlwауѕ ѕtrеаming muѕiс and vidеоѕ frоm Streaming sites ѕuсh аѕ YouTube, Vine аnd оthеr video аnd music sites, thеn you аrе in for drastic dаtа соnѕumрtiоn bесаuѕе online streaming соnѕumеѕ dаtа more thаn уоu thоught. Thе best орtiоn for уоu here iѕ to always dоwnlоаd thеѕе filеѕ (muѕiс or vidеоѕ) to уоur dеviсе.

You саn аlѕо ѕаvе thе muѕiс fоr оfflinе listening, if уоu аrе nоt the tуре thаt likes stuffing music оr videos оn your microSD card. Tаkе nоtе thаt if уоu саn rеduсе to thе lеаѕt minimum уоur online ѕtrеаming аttitudе, then уоu will save a lot оf dаtа uѕаgе and уоur ѕubѕсriрtiоn will lаѕt for уоu.

So wаѕ thiѕ post helpful? Yеѕ оf соurѕе! Sо consider sharing it аn ѕаvе ѕоmе mоnеу for уоur friеndѕ!

Some Cool And Cheap Android Smartphones you can Buy this Month

If you are looking forward to changing your phone any sooner then you've got to relax and read this post as we have assembled 4 great android smartphones that are causing waves in the market this July and hopely this should also run into August. What's more good news than the fact that these smartphones are also pocket friendly? Okay let's get the list please!

1. Motorola Moto E 2 (2015)

First-time smartphone buyers should really consider the Motorola Moto E 2 (2015). SIM-free, it costs only £109 (that should be around N24,000), which is astonishing considering it’s 4G-enabled.

The 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor running the show provides a performance level that’s unrivalled at this end of the market. You’ll be able to play high-end 3D games without any issues, and the 2,390mAh battery can last up to two days between charges.

Some key features of this phone includes:

  • 4.5-inch, 960 x 540 IPS screen
  • Excellent performance
  • 4G connectivity
  • Two-day battery life

2. Vodafone Smart Ultra 6

The Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 is on another scale. At £125 (that's around N28,000), it’s arguably the best-value large phone on the market. Clad in a metallic plastic shell, it’s no beauty, but the brains are most certainly there.

Some key features of this phone include:

  • 5.5-inch, Full HD display
  • Slick performance
  • 4G
  • MicroSD card slot

3. Microsoft Lumia 640

The Microsoft Lumia 640 is a great cheap smartphone that showcases the best of Microsoft’s productivity tools. It comes with a free one-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 Personal worth £59.99 (THAT'S AROUND N14,000), and will receive the Windows 10 update when it arrives.
Clad in a glossy plastic case, it’s tough, well-made and instantly recognizable as a Lumia. It’s also equipped with a 5-inch, 1,280 x 720 IPS display that we’d be impressed with on a phone costing twice the price.

Some key features of this phone includes:

  • 5-inch, 1,280 x 720 IPS display
  • Impressive 8-megapixel camera
  • Two-day battery life
  • 4G

4. Huawei Ascend G7

The Huawei Ascend G7 is a rare beast – it’s a large phone that costs less than £200 (N44,000). Even more extraordinary is that we think the company could get away with selling it at twice the price.

It’s got a 5.5-inch, 1,280 x 720 display, which isn’t the most pixel-packed panel we’ve ever seen on a phone this large. However, it’s accurate and bright. For a cheap smartphone, it’s very well-designed and built partly from premium materials. Aluminium makes up the main bulk of the G7’s rear, and the 7.6mm thickness ensures it’s easy to hold, despite its size.

Some key features of this phone include:

  • 5.5-inch, 1,280 x 720 screen
  • 13-megapixel camera with HDR
  • Up to three-day battery life

CONCLUSION

Though the phones above are pocket friendly but if you still have a lower budget then you will have to subscribe to this blog right now as and also Like our Facebook Page and also Follow us on Twitter. I will be publishing another list of android smartphones that worth just below N20,000.
