After the initial announcement of the development to add Voice call features to its instant messaging client about a year ago, Whatsapp had started to test the feature toward the end of January. The feature of the voice calling on whatsapp as noted last week was roll out to users on the basis of invitation but the company has solve this by enabling anyone to have access to the feature on their Android phone if they have the latest feature of whatsapp but another users help will be needed to activate it.
How to Activate Whatsapp Voice Calling On Android
- Download the latest version of the Android app 2.11.561.
- Then ask a user who has the feature to call you
- After receiving the call, close the App and reopen it.
- You will now notice a screen with three columns with the the one for call included
You can now call any of your whatsapp contacts over VoIP through the app.
Note that you will not be able to call people with older whatsapp version on their phone.
