iOS produced by Apple is the only operating system that can give serious competition to Android OS own by Google. Android without missing word is so user-friendly that popular smartphone companies like blackberry, Htc, Samsung, Sony, LG and Motorola are all manufacturing high-end Android phones.
Android offers several features that cannot be found in iPhone. Here are some of them:
1. Flash
Most of the websites on the internet are Flash based websites. To view them, you require Flash Player installed on your phone. Flash is also required for viewing Flash videos and games. Flash player comes preloaded in Android phones. All because of the ongoing battle between Apple and Adobe, there is no Flash support in iPhone.
2. Easy installation of apps
You can easily install apps on your Android phone. By accessing Google Play or third-party services like AppBrain on your PC or other device, you can easily search for the desired app and click on the Install button and when you use your Android phone, you will find the app already installed on your phone. Apple’s App Store and Cydia App Store have got plenty of apps onboard. However, browsing and finding new apps and installing them are not that easy and convenient on iOS.
3. Removable battery and storage
Thanks to open nature of Android, Even though non removable smartphone has being produce now. Android phone with removable battery and storage allows you to access and remove the memory card and battery from your phone whenever you want. If there is not enough storage space on your microSD card, you can put a new microSD with more storage capacity. If you have a spare battery, you can make use of it when the battery present in your phone gets exhausted. There is no way you can increase the storage capacity on your iPhone. And sadly, the battery is sealed inside the phone which makes it next to impossible to remove the battery from the iPhone.
4. Customize the phone by using launchers
It’s only when you jailbreak an iPhone, that you can be able customize the homescreen. However, android customization is far more advanced. Lot of different third party launchers are available for Android that allows you to completely customize your phone. Launchers allow you to add smooth and intuitive transition animations, choose from numerous themes and widgets, and boost the performance of an older phone.
5. Custom ROMs
Custom ROMs is the real advantage of using the open source Android OS. Through it, you can tweak the entire OS; install their version of OS instead of the one that came preloaded on the phone. By jailbreaking an iPhone, you can customize your iPhone to certain extent but you cannot tweak the entire OS.
