Startimes has been a very good competition for other paytv provider since the inception in Nigeria. The rate at which there customers are increasing in absolutely great. The increase in their client recently was as a result of the the newly introduce bouquet NOVA which can easily be affordable and having the channels they loved to watch.
With such increase, Startimes customers are beginning to have series of problems which has led to some neglecting the decoder for pay tv. Some of the problems they experience are No service, No Signal, Smartcard Error, Recharging problem and soon. In this post i will share with you an easy way to clear one of such problem which is the smartcard Error on your screen.
The tips below works in some situation and if it doesn't your decoder will need to be change. Kindly the following things and see if it works for you.
- Remove the smartcard and check if it is inserted properly(If the golden chip faced down, If not Ensure that the golden chip face down and insert it into the decoder.
- If the problem still persist, Remove it again and use a cloth or finger to clean the golden chips gently. Insert it back to see if it works and if not try this last one.
- Remove the smartcard and put it inside a deep freezer or refrigerator overnight. And in the morning insert it back to your decoder. It should work like that and if it doesn't you will need to visit the any startimes office very close to you.
Your decoder will be changed for you and you will be asked to pay #1500 or So
